The Girl Below

Author(s): Bianca Zander

NZ Fiction

When 29-year old Suki Piper returns to London after years away following her mother's death, she hopes for a warm homecoming. Instead, she feels like a stranger. Looking for a way back in, she pays a visit to Peggy, the charismatic bohemian who lived above her family's old Notting Hill flat. This encounter sets in motion a series of events and unearthed memories that unsettle Suki's life even further. As destitution requires Suki to spend the summer looking after Peggy's 16-year old grandson Caleb, she is forced to confront the mysteries of her past, and her present.
