Mark Rayner trained in garden design in London and during his there he worked on a diverse number of projects ranging from inner-city courtyards and roof gardens to a public park. He now lives in Wanganui, New Zealand, working as a landscape designer, and frequently hosts workshops on designing and constructing outdoor art. He has a regular garden art magazine column in the Weekend Gardener magazine, distributed fortnightly to a circulation of 32 000.
