About Us

My name is Raewyn Goodwin, and with the opening of Poppies Kerikeri I am living a dream, one shared by many of you, to open a bookshop. Little did I know that when my daughter Frankie and her partner Tom moved north to Kerikeri last Christmas I would have the opportunity to turn my wishes into reality. Frankie says the move has had a profound effect on their lives and describes each day as another in Paradise! Frankie particularly wants to thank all those who made her feel so welcome allowing for an easy transition and looks forward to continuing the developing of further friendships with this exciting new venture. She especially wants to acknowledge Body Divine, Bohemian Hair and all the wonderful people of the Whangaroa Game Fishing Club. At the end of our first afternoon, I am pleased many of you showed your appreciation of our efforts to provide a stunning retail environment summed up in expressions like 'light, bright, spacious, homely and inviting'. We look forward to welcoming you, your family and friends to future events, author presentations, books club nights and childrens' storytime sessions among many. We also welcome your suggestions on how we make Poppies Kerikeri 'yours', as well as
